The following is the text from the email distributed by the RDS on June 10, 2008:

On June 4, 2008, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Center sent you an e-mail with the subject line, “New Information About Your RDS Application and Reporting Rebates.” That e-mail explained that CMS had decided to issue a modification of the RDS requirement to report rebates and similar price concessions, which may affect your RDS application referenced in that e-mail. That e-mail also explained that CMS would soon be revising and reissuing its guidance on that topic to reflect the modification.

The purpose of this notice is to inform you that CMS has revised and reissued that guidance. To view the revised and reissued CMS guidance, see the document titled "CMS Retiree Drug Subsidy Guidance: Rebates and Other Price Concessions 06/06/2008,” at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/EmployerRetireeDrugSubsid/.
